FHP Troopers responded to a single unit tanker truck Fire on the Skyway Bridge

UPDATE: All lanes are open on the Skyway Bridge.

FHP Troopers responded to a single unit tanker truck transporting carbon dioxide which caught fire as a result of a mechanical issue along the northbound lanes of the Skyway Bridge, just prior to the exit for the Pinellas Rest Area.  All lanes are closed while crews work to render the vehicle safe.
