Black Lives Matter Restoration Polk Inc. is advertising on their Facebook page that they have become a Stakeholder with the City of Lakeland.

And Mayor Mutz has supported and endorsed BLM candidates for the City Council why?

The Black Lives Matter movement emerged in 2013 after the acquittal of the Florida man who fatally shot 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, and exploded in size and influence earlier this year after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. Protests across the nation were largely peaceful but occasionally marked by clashes with police or the destruction of property.

Since then, many activists have been working to reduce the scope and cost of local police departments and overhaul police training.

Some critics accuse Black Lives Matter of being anti-police. Marchers in 2016 using a BLM banner were recorded in a video chanting, “Pigs in a blanket, fry ’em like bacon” at the Minnesota State Fair. Law enforcement groups claim the chant promotes death to police.

They blocked streets, threw items at vehicles, hospitalized people! Law enforcement showed up with armored cars, tear gas, rubber bullets!

  1. BLM is just another money laundering and way for people who are corrupt to funnel money into their own hands! It has nothing to do with the importance of black lives. All lives matter and to emphasize any particular color is racial. This Mayor is obviously only looking for votes and a movement to which he can say he is running for Mayor. Total obvious ploy

    Does Lakeland want to go down a MARXIST ROAD with current RINO Mayor Mutz, BLM endorsed Allyson Lewis with ties to the DC Swamp, and Tallahassee connected Liberal Shandale Terrell?
