Residents are determined to stop in its tracks a proposal for 244 apartments at the Lake Miriam Square shopping center.
At the November Lakeland Planning and Zoning Meeting, board members heard an initial presentation for an apartment complex proposal on approximately 12.07 acres owned by Publix Super Markets Inc. The complex would be located at the northeast corner of Lake Miriam Drive and Florida Avenue.
Publix did not respond to multiple requests for comment concerning the proposal.
