Join us in welcoming 16 new officers, 1 public safety aide and congratulating Sergeant Mike Fuller on his promotion. On Friday, December 17, 2021, the Lakeland Police Department held a promotion and swearing-in ceremony for one Sergeant, 16 new Police Officers, and one Public Safety Aide.
Chief Ruben Garcia and staff joined family, friends and state and city officials at the Lake Mirror Complex, 121 S Lake Ave in Lakeland.
Attorney General Ashley Moody served as guest speaker, offering her personal words of support for those taking the oath and expressed her gratitude for those who choose to serve in law enforcement.
Also in attendance was Congressman Scott Franklin who also took the time to offer support to the officers and their families.
