PUBLIC SAFETY SHOULD BE PRIORITY ONE!!!!!
If Lakeland city leader’s show that they know how to act with reasonable efficiency and decency in social, political and community safety matters, if it keeps order, public safety and pays its obligations, they do not need fear no interference from its taxpayers or citizens.
Chronic wrongdoing, or an impotence which results in a general loosening of the ties of civilized society, ultimately requires intervention by some civilized group of citizens.
In the Declaration of Independence in states: But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.
In addition, city policymakers need to found new positive reasons to support public safety.
Lakeland residents can no longer tolerate the draconian and dictatorial actions of its city leaders when it comes to their mindset of the lack of public safety.
On any given day there are only 8 to 12 police officers on duty for a community of 120,000 citizens. And when comes to Fire/EMS it could take up to 15 minutes to get help depending on the location.
As a community, we must condemn political thuggery wherever it appears and we must root it out of our political process.
It is the People that have the true Power, not the employees that “WE THE PEOPLE” hire. We must STAND UP and drive them out by any means. It is the RIGHT of the PEOPLE to dictate policy.
