Lakeland firefighters were dispatched to a fire call at The Ledger building downtown at W Lime Street this morning with a plume of black smoke visible from Station 1.
Our crews located the fire in an outside storage area for plastic pallets upon arrival. The pallets were fully involved with flame impingement to 3 vehicles parked adjacent to the pallets.
Crews extinguished the fire without incident, cooled the exterior of the building and vehicles, and checked for hot spots.
The fire was found to be unintentional, and there were no injuries.
