South Pipkin Road is scheduled to close to traffic from Maple Hill Drive to West Pipkin Road for four weeks starting Monday, March 21 to install a 48″ stormwater drainage pipe adjacent to the northbound travel lane as part of the ongoing West Pipkin Road widening project.
Traffic will be detoured at West Pipkin Road and Old Medulla Road and rerouted to Waring Road to bypass the work zone. South Pipkin Road is expected to reopen on Monday, April 17. In the meantime, commuters can expect slower traffic and congestion, particularly during weekday peak hours and upcoming Sun ′n Fun Aerospace Expo events in early April. Drivers are advised to drive carefully, be alert to signs, and add extra time to trips through this area.
