This is thirteen-year-old Lillie. She was arrested today at Munn Park in Lakeland by LakelandPD for a second-degree misdemeanor because of their “noise ordinance.” Lillie was using a megaphone. There were others with megaphones, yet Lillie was the only one who got arrested.
At this protest, there was also Angela DeLauney and Quentin Deckard. Angela and Quentin (Greg) left their children in the car for over an hour, (state statute is 15 MINUTES!) yet Lakeland police did nothing about that, despite the knowledge of it. IN FACT, Lakeland PD helped them drive off! Untouched! No arrests were made for those, despite this ungodly heat.
Why is that? Why is Lakeland PD avoiding the questions about what happened? Why is it when you call them, they hang up when you ask about it?
Lillie is proof that police pick and choose what laws they want to enforce. First amendment rights? Arrested. Leaving children in the car for an hour? You’re free to go.
I stand with LILLIE. Lillie is not the first and will not be the last to be unlawfully locked up while defending (and exercising) their rights. Hell, they’ll probably get a warrant for my arrest with this post haha. I’ve done nothing illegal except exercise free speech, but according to Lakeland, that’s no longer legal.
you have a right to free speech… yet you must obey the laws… if the kids in the car was an issue to you why didn’t you call the police and have them taken into custody?
She needs to go to school, get a part time job and know one thing … HER MOM DIDN’T KILL HER! Obviously her mom is PROLIFE! Lillie needs to GROW UP and act like an adult. Protesting that abortion is great is saying murdering an innocent baby is ok. Lillie is sick and evil.
