The public voted to give up our right to vote on the short-term replacements for departing office holders.
You will receive the applicant’s resumes due by August 26 and will be to you by agenda study on September 2 for your vote on September 6.
You will have an important decision that will influence future votes on matters important to the citizens. I believe it is important for you all to interview and get to know the applicants.
As a citizen and city taxpayer, I would like to hear the interviews of the candidates in a public forum before will be voting.
When will the interviews of the candidates be taking place? If they are not scheduled, why not? There is no need to rush this process. Please let me know when and where you will publish this meeting notice.
I 100% agree! I personally know one candidate and this person is what Lakeland needs. But……not sure if the mayor and his minions would vote yes. We need a Republic and not a democracy that has spoiled the land and raised our taxes and made monumental decisions that cost us millions. We cannot have a yes person voted in!
