Florida Family Policy Council Board has fired Mayor Bill Mutz. This is the second Christian Organization that has removed Lakeland’s Mayor Bill Mutz in the past few weeks because of Mutz’s views on LGBTQIA +.
Lakeland Christian School and Florida Family Policy Council both have removed Mutz from their collective boards.
Mutz refuses to comment to the Lakeland Gazette.
But Mutz said to the city commissioners, “I respect the strong position with respect to the biblical view that you wanted to provide and I make no compromise and within that view, a Judeo Christian ethic or responsibilities, unconditionally to love and honor others.”
Jon Friedt, the pastor of Believers Fellowship Lakeland, told Mutz and the City commissioners at the June 2022 commissioners’ meeting that “there are incredible risks associated with the LGBTQ practices,” including greater risk of sexually transmitted disease and high rates of promiscuity.
Paul Armes, a priest at St. John the Evangelist Church, a Western Orthodox Christian church, also spoke to commissioners, saying there is one law in the universe — “God’s law, called the moral law.” He said God’s design is for one man and one woman to be married and to bring children into the world conceived in that union.
Florida Family Policy Council, quote, “Religious liberty around the country is being threatened by radical LGBT activists who will not stop until they force all Americans to approve, support, and celebrate their lifestyle. Christians now more than ever need to be aware of this important topic.”
Lakeland Christian School, quote, “We believe that God has established marriage as an exclusive relationship between one man and one woman and that all intimate sexual activity outside the marriage relationship, whether heterosexual, homosexual or otherwise, is immoral and therefore sin. (Gen. 2:24-25, Ex. 20:14, 17, 22:19, Lev. 18:22-23, 20:13, 15-16, Matt. 19:4-6, 9, Rom. 1:18-31, 1 Cor. 6:9-10, 15-20, 1 Tim. 1:8-11; Jude 7); We believe that God created the human race male and female and that all conduct with the intent to adopt a gender other than one’s birth gender is immoral and therefore sin. (Gen. 1:27; Deut. 22:5)”
Good! He is such a hypocrite! He will answer to God!
LGTBQ people have existed since the Roman Empire. We all don’t have to live the way others believe we should. We are all living breathing creatures with the will to be. We are here because we wanted to be, with the right to believe that all people are created equal.
It is a FACT that the Bible says that HE created MAN AND WOMAN. NOTHING ELSE WAS EVER BIRTHED since that FACT in the Bible. Mutz should not be Mayor. He is twisting scripture to benefit him and his precious city. The City of Lakeland will suffer because the real Christians will not spend their money in any GAY AND HOMOSEXUAL ESTABLISHMENT. That my friend is a FACT!
Here’s a question to ask….is one of the Mayor’s children gay? Is the Mayor gay? Is his wife bisexual?
What if one of YOUR children was gay?? Would you want someone to have YOUR viewpoint?
The LGBTQ+ community is acting more like those represented in Sodom and Gomorrah right before it was destroyed by God. Well it was three angels. I should not have to be forced to accept anyone’s lifestyle choice especially when it comes to how they choose to have sex. YUK!.
Oh yes, we need more good news like this. This fool needs to put on his rainbow colors and march up and down Main Street.
I agree, so sick of this gay stuff being forced down our throat. It is a mental illness issue and these people need help.
