Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay visited #LakelandFD Station 1 yesterday for their November event. Big Brothers Big Sisters helps children realize their potential and build their futures. We enjoyed hosting the group and putting them through several rotating activity stations and sharing with all the “Littles” what it’s like to be a #firefighter.
The mentorship program is in partnership with the City of Lakeland, FL – Government, with the mission to make meaningful matches between adult volunteers, “Bigs,” and young adults, “Littles,” in our local community to develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people.
