For the seventh year, Lakeland #firefighters donated needed uniforms to Bartow High School’s Medical and Fire Academy as part of an annual donation program, which is led by Lieutenant Lance Taylor. This year was especially significant because the #LFD Training Division was also able to donate bunker gear to the academy.
The high school’s fire program lead, Kozette Hubbard, and her wonderful staff devote a passion for teaching and years of experience to high school juniors and seniors looking toward a career in or close to the fire service.
Many thanks to all our staff who donated and to #LakelandFD Driver Engineer Mark Sloan, Firefighter Brett Knoll, and Firefighter Dillon Bailey for giving the cadets their time, resources, and words of wisdom. We wish them all the best of luck in their future careers!
