A group of culinary students from Lake Region High was one of three teams vying for the top prize in a Universal Orlando cooking competition.
Universal Orlando challenged student chefs to come up with a handheld treat that could be sold at a Universal property. The LRHS team and instructor Corrine Hart whipped up a shrimp and guacamole puff.
Today was the final round of the competition … and LRHS won! Congratulations to Hart and her students: Kiera Murphy-Hargadine, Joanyeliz Rodriguez, and Victoria Somoza.
