Come on Florida! If Texas can do TNVR we can too. Community cat caregivers and feeders, as well as TNR groups like us, should not be penalized for helping these cats.
Let’s start at the County level. Contact your Commissioners and tell them we need an ordinance change to protect Community Cats and their caregivers.

And cats deemed unadoptable who come into Polk County Animal Control should be fixed and tipped and returned to their outside locations instead of being killed.
THIS JUST IN: Texas House Bill 3660, which protects community cats and their caregivers just passed the Texas Legislature!
House Bill 3660 will prevent community cat caregivers from being prosecuted for animal cruelty for simply returning outdoor, free-roaming cats as part of a TNVR program.
This would not have been possible without the many Texas advocates that spoke up and contacted their legislators in support of this legislation!
The next stop is the Texas Governor’s desk for his signature.
