Incident Description
At 2:30 PM on September 2, 2023, the City was notified of a possible force main break near Wabash and W. 10th Street. When crews arrived they shut down the upstream pump station and called in additional crews to help with the repair. The SSO was stopped at 3:15 PM and contained to the spill site. Approximately 800 gallons were spilled and approximately 800 gallons were recovered. Crews washed down the affected area once the repair was completed around 9:00 PM. No waters of the State were impacted.
