Did you know a Florida Congressman missed the important vote on the Federal budget?
Last Saturday with just hours left before the deadline of our national budget expiring, one Republican member of congress missed the vote.
Representative Byron Donalds represents portions of Collier and Lee counties, and as well as includes portions of the cities Cape Coral, Fort Myers, Naples and Marco Island.
Shortly after the vote to either pass or reject the last-minute budget deal was made by a 314-117 vote, Donalds posted on his “X”- account that he missed the vote. He did not explain why he missed the vote, but apologized and tweeted further on “X” how if he had made himself available for the vote, he would have done so with a “no” vote.
Some of Byron Donalds’ constituents and others who follow him on “X”, expressed disappointment and anger towards him for missing this important vote, especially without explanation.
The 45 day and temporary budget vote was carried by 149 Republicans with help from 165 Democrats who also voted in favor of the temporary spending bill.
