To wrap up our month of haunted happenings and spooky shenanigans I wanted to make sure we don’t forget the little goblins & ghouls that don’t drink. Abstaining from the firewater doesn’t mean you have to drink plain old soda!
Mix up this spell….I mean recipe, in a cauldron to scoop & serve. Today’s spell is a classic by the master himself, William Shakespeare:
“Double, double toil and trouble.
Fire burn and cauldron bubble.
Fillet of a fenny snake,
In the cauldron boil and bake.
Eye of a newt and toe of frog,
Wool of bat and tongue of dog,
Adder’s fork and blind-worm’s sting,
Lizard’s leg and howlet’s wing,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.
Double, double toil and trouble.
Fire burn and caldron bubble.
Cool it with a baboon’s blood,
Then the charm is firm and good.”
Ingredients
- 64 oz. Grape Juice 2 quarts, chilled
- 2 Liters Sprite chilled
- 18 oz. Pineapple Juice chilled (three 6-oz. cans)
- Grenadine (optional)
Instructions
- Pour all ingredients except the grenadine into a large punch bowl, stir well, and serve, Ooze a bit of grenadine over your drink and allow the heavy syrup to sink to the bottom to give the spooky ombre effect.
