There will definitely be snow in the forecast for downtown Lakeland this holiday season. Snowfest 2023 will take place on Saturday, December 9th from 5-9 p.m. at the Frances Langford Promenade at Lake Mirror.
The event will feature a stroll through the snow along with other holiday delights around the amphitheater on the east side of Lake Mirror. Snowfest attendees are encouraged to bring a canned food donation as admission to the event. The City of Lakeland is proud of the long-standing tradition, of collecting much-needed canned food donations for Senior Orphans and Volunteers in Service to the Elderly. Even if you don’t bring your donation that night, keep these organizations in mind as we head into this giving time of the year.
Man-made snow will be falling as visitors enter the designated event area. Along with snow, there will be arts & craft vendors, a beautiful 30-foot-tall Christmas Tree, Santa and Mrs. Clause, Santa’s workshop with fun treats, a book giveaway sponsored by the Junior League of Greater Lakeland, entertainment, and tasty food trucks. Home Depot has once again teamed up with our Parks & Rec elves to provide some take-home toy kits (while supplies last). Grab some hot cocoa while you check out the artisan market and enjoy the festive lights of Lake Mirror.
