An Auburndale High School student was taken to a hospital after being hit by a car early Friday morning, police said.
The Auburndale Police Department said at 6:46 a.m., a 14-year-old girl was struck by a vehicle on Old Lake Alfred Road.
According to officials, the minor suffered a possible concussion from the impact. An ambulance then took her to a hospital for treatment.
Officers said the child’s parents were told of the incident and arrived at the scene.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed in the incident at this time, a police spokesperson said. However, it is still under investigation.
