Letter to the Editor
On March 1, 2024, six-year-old Adam Jonathan Gitter was brought to the ER at Lakeland Regional Hospital by his father. Adam, a previously healthy child, was dead on arrival.
We are asking that the staff and medical examiner at Lakeland Regional Hospital as well as law enforcement of the Polk County Sheriff’s Office and Detective Jacob Pfington thoroughly investigate the matter of Adam’s death. We further ask that the aforementioned communicate with Adam’s mother, Elena Belogolovsky, who has been trying unsuccessfully to learn what happened to her son.
Following a troubling custody evaluation conducted by Arnold Shienvold (someone who is high on our radar) in Pennsylvania, custody of Adam was transferred to Adam’s father who took the child out of state.
Please call the numbers below and ask for a complete investigation of Adam’s death, communication with Adam’s mother, and full transparency. Let them know that the whole world is watching.
