The Aerospace Center for Excellence will welcome Air Force Second Lieutenant Madison March, crowned Miss America 2024, to the 2024 SUN ‘n FUN Aerospace Expo on April 9 and 10, 2024.
During the Expo, Marsh will provide remarks at the Women ACEs Breakfast on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 7:30 am. Following the breakfast, she will share insights with youth participating in the Junior ACEs program. Marsh is also scheduled to engage guests at the USAF Aim High Flight School Exhibit located at the Future ‘n Flight Plaza presented by Daher and subsequently, Central Florida Aerospace Academy students at the Lakeland Aero Club. Additionally, Marsh will kick off Wednesday’s daily airshow by giving the official welcome from the Air Show Control Stand.
Students wishing to meet Marsh should visit the United States Air Force Recruiting exhibit from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on April 10. The community is also welcome to join Marsh in watching Wednesday’s night airshow featuring the USAF F-35 Demo Team, The Ghost Squadron, and a variety of demonstrations, pyrotechnics, fireworks and a pyro-musical finale.
Marsh represents the first active-duty service member to win the Miss America crown. After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy in 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in physics, Marsh was immediately commissioned as an officer in the United States Air Force. As her first assignment, Marsh began pursuing a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Kennedy School through the Air Force Institute of Technology’s Civilian Institution Program.
Throughout Marsh’s time as Miss Colorado and now Miss America 2024, she continues to use her platforms to amply causes close to her heart like pancreatic cancer awareness and research, as well as Air Force recruiting efforts.
