This book, overall, was such a fun read! The author makes the bold choice of having both dual POVs speak directly to the reader, which made me feel like I was living in an active retelling of the story from a friend. I enjoyed that both main characters had their businesses at stake rather than just their relationship itself, which really added depth to the story. This book made me actually laugh out loud! Also, talk about a book set in paradise! The tropical setting had me ready to head to the beach and sip on a mimosa while getting lost in this story. However, there were some parts where the narration from the characters was quite cringy, and it actually lost me a bit in the spice. The spice scenes were mid, but at times, the character’s inner monologue would take up too much of the scene rather than what was happening. Overall, I would recommend this story if someone needs a light hearted rom-com, fake-dating trope, or brother’s best friend!
