In 2023, roughly 1.9 million new cancer cases and 609,820 deaths from cancer are expected to occur in the United States, with more than 162,000 new cases expected to occur here in Florida.
Cancer continues to be the second most common cause of death among Americans, after heart disease. To help end cancer as we know it for everyone, the American Cancer Society Relay For Life Plant City will be held on May 3, 2024, at the Strawberry Festival Grounds in Plant City.
The event begins at 6 pm on Friday, May 3rd and participants will walk through the evening as we “Celebrate, Remember and Fight Back against cancer.
The Luminaria Ceremony begins at 9 p.m. and is open to the public, join us if you are able.
