On June 6, 2024, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office stopped Jarred Kraizgrun, Donald Miller, and Matthew White while they were traveling together in a white BMW. Inside the vehicle were 11 bundles of insulated industrial copper wire valued at over $4,000. Kraizgrun and Miller were arrested by PCSO at the time of the stop for separate, however, no reason existed at the time to detain White.
LakelandPD detectives were contacted and able to confirm the wire in the vehicle was from a theft that occurred that same day from City of Lakeland light poles in the area of University Boulevard. Kraizgrun and Miller were charged immediately, and an arrest warrant was obtained on White for Grand Theft (F3) and Criminal Mischief (F3). On June 20, 2024, White was arrested on a warrant in Alabama.
