Former President Donald Trump was evacuated by U.S. Secret Service after gunshots were heard at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Though the story is developing, Trump immediately grasped his ear and dropped down after the shots were heard. When he was lifted up by the Secret Service, his ear and face were bloody.

After the Secret Service stormed the podium, Trump told his agents to “wait” as he pumped his fist to the crowd in a show that he was still standing, resulting in chants of “USA!”
According to a campaign statement, Trump is “fine” and is being checked out at a local medical facility.
The Secret Service issued the following statement:
“An incident occurred the evening of July 13 at a Trump rally in Pennsylvania. The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe. This is now an active Secret Service investigation and further information will be released when available.”
According to the Associated Press, “Butler County district attorney Richard Goldinger said in a phone interview that the suspected gunman was dead and at least one rally attendee was killed.”

Secret Service removed reporters from the site, calling it “an active crime scene.” Anthony Guglielmi, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, issued a statement that said “The Secret Service has implemented protective measures and the former President is safe” as officials launch their investigation.
