Grady Judd this is NOT ok You’re not meant to be in the animal care business. Step aside and allow people who care and know what they are doing take over the shelter immediately
This is a horrible place for animals please do not take or turn your animals in here. They are suffering. Ever since the photos landed in the news in the airways. They have shut the folding area off to the public. Because kittens are dying in the back. I have a recording that I took before they banned phones where you can hear me asking the worker if the kittens are dead she nonchalantly checks their pulse and says no I hear a heartbeat you can hear all of this on the video. You can hear me asking why there’s no food and water in the bowls. You can hear the her Windows screening of tiny kittens. Newborns cannot get to their mother to be fed they’re too hot to move the mothers cannot get to the kittens to take care of them because she is overheated laid out in the corner of the hot metal 10. The public doesn’t see this because it’s in the back holding area. God help them all.
Oh my, Polk County needs more tax revenue to take care of stray dogs and cats that people just dump wherever.
More taxes folks, let’s vote for more taxes, we just don’t pay enough taxes. Not even the proposed over 50% impact fees for new home construction will be enough. There will never be enough tax money or fees no matter what the Polk County Commission does. Stay tuned, frankly, I’m ready to go back to the ‘old school’ of doing things, but that ain’t gonna happen,, unfortunately.
