An Auburndale man was arrested after giving a false name to deputies after falling out of a boat, Polk County Sheriff’s Office said.
On Sunday, Polk County Fire Rescue responded to a call about two boaters falling into Crystal Lake in Lakeland. Another man jumped in with pool noodles to save the two boaters, according to PCSO.
Timothy Lanthrip, 36, gave a false name to deputies after they were both checked out by medics, according to PCSO. Deputies later found out his true identity through his fingerprint.
According to PCSO, when running Lanthrip’s name, deputies uncovered he had six active warrants.
Lanthrip was arrested for his six warrants and charged with giving false information to deputies.
