FHP Troopers observed a Ford Explorer traveling eastbound on SR-400 near MM47 driving erratically, cutting in and out of traffic, and driving upon the shoulder on a wet roadway.
Troopers performed a traffic stop and the driver stopped. The 41-year-old driver from Wimauma, Jerome Jermaine Fox, had placed a fictitious license plate on the vehicle which read PR1V4T3.
Upon contacting Fox, he refused to provide a license or registration; however, once his identity was determined it was discovered his driver’s license was suspended multiple times over the course of the last few years.
Additionally, it was learned Fox had multiple felony convictions and was in possession of a pistol.
Troopers arrested Fox and charged him with driving while his license was suspended, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, attaching an unassigned license plate, reckless driving, as well as possession of a firearm and ammunition by a convicted felon.
