Incident Description
On October 9.2024 at approximately 8:30PM the high flow from Hurricane Milton surcharged the effluent line that flows from our secondary clarifiers to our reuse basin. This caused our secondary clarifiers to overflow with partially treated wastewater. The partially treated wastewater flowed into our stormwater system into Lake Somerset. This is an ongoing issue and an amount is going to exceed 1,000 gallons. Once this has stopped we will update the SSO with the estimated amount. The overflow has stopped as of 11:00PM on October 11, 2024. The total amount of the overflow is estimated at 2,000,000 gallons.
