Lakeland-Linder International Airport to add seven destinations across the United States.
Starting Oct. 24, an inaugural flight to Concord, North Carolina will take off, and then a launch of service to Hartford, Connecticut will start on Nov. 8.
Passengers can look forward to these new destinations:
- Concord, N.C., starting Oct. 24
- Manchester, N.H., starting Oct. 25
- Rochester, N.Y., starting Oct. 25
- San Juan, Puerto Rico, starting Oct. 26
- Atlanta, GA, starting Nov. 7
- Wilmington, DE, starting Nov. 7
- Hartford, Conn., starting Nov. 8
The expansion of service is in partnership between Lakeland-Linder International Airport and Avelo Airlines.
Avelo Airlines has served over 5.2 million customers on more than 40,000 flights, according to Visit Central Florida.

One has to wonder – has this boondoggle to bring passenger air service to Lakeland made penny #1? I doubt it.
