A man’s body was found floating in a neighborhood retention pond in unincorporated Lakeland on Sunday morning, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said the death occurred in the Chelsea Oaks subdivision. Residents called in the incident.
Officials are on the scene, conducting a death investigation.
