Vehicle 1, a BMW 330E, was traveling southbound on I-75. Vehicle 2, a tractor trailer, was traveling southbound on I-75 behind Vehicle 1.
Vehicle 3, a BMW X7, and Vehicle 4, a GMC Denali pickup, as well as Vehicle 5, a tractor trailer, were stopped in traffic southbound on I-75.
Near the 277 Milepost, Vehicle 1 changed lanes into the path of and was struck by Vehicle 2. The impact forced Vehicle 1 into a collision with Vehicle 3.
After colliding with Vehicle 1, Vehicle 2 continued forward and collided with Vehicle 4 and 5 in successive order.
The crash closed the southbound lanes of I-75 until 11:19 AM, when all lanes were reopened.
