Drivers can expect daytime lane closures on State Road 60 from Wednesday through Friday.
Crews will begin paving a section of SR 60 from East Van Fleet Drive to west of C. Wilson Ranch Road in Bartow, the Florida Department of Transportation said in a news release.
Lane closures in both directions are planned from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., the release said. Drivers are reminded to use caution and be prepared to merge.
Crews will switch to nighttime and overnight paving next week, provided overnight temperatures remain warm enough to pave, DOT said.
The paving is part of a larger project that includes another section of SR 60 from County Road 555 (Agricola Road) to west of Broadway Avenue (U.S. 98). Additional improvements include traffic signal upgrades, pedestrian signal upgrades at Baker Avenue, replacing signing and pavement markings, driveways and upgrades to sidewalk and curb ramps in accordance with ADA requirements, the release said.
