Lakeland police are investigating after a train hit and killed a person along the tracks on Friday morning.
The investigation is unfolding along the 2500 block of Knights Station Rd., just west of Kathleen Rd.
Traffic on Knights Station Rd. is blocked at the railroad tracks “until further notice,” according to LPD.
Knights Station Rd has reopened.
