An alligator attacked a woman while she was paddling in Polk County Monday, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said.
According to an FWC statement, the alligator bit the female kayaker on the elbow at the Tiger Creek Canal
After the attack, the woman was taken to a hospital for her injuries.
The FWC said a contracted trapper has been dispatched to find and remove the alligator from the area.
