Dennis Odisho has declared his candidacy for the Lakeland City Commission in the required paperwork submitted to the city.
Odisho, 46, is a construction project manager who is seeking to represent District C, Southwest.
That seat is held by Sara Roberts McCarley, who is running for mayor.
The election will be held on Nov. 4. Lakeland city elections are nonpartisan.
To date, Odisho is unopposed.
