Check your fridge for any packaged salads. Taylor Fresh Foods is recalling its Taylor Farms Honey Balsamic Salad Kit because it may contain undeclared sesame and soy allergens, according to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
Individual packets of dressing and toppings supplied by Latitude 36 Foods, which were included in the Taylor Farms salad kits, incorrectly contained Asian Sesame Ginger dressing rather than the intended Honey Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing, triggering the recall.
The salad kits were distributed to the following states: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and West Virginia.
The affected products have code dates starting with “TFRS” and best-by dates up to and including September 4, 2025. The product code can be found in the upper right-hand corner of the 8.3-ounce plastic bag. The kits were sold at major grocery retailers, including Walmart, Kroger, and Wegmans stores.

There have been no reported illnesses associated with the recalled product to date. The FDA warns that “people who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to sesame and soy run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction,” including anaphylaxis, if they consume the salad kits with the incorrect dressing.
According to the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI), symptoms of a soy allergy include vomiting, stomach cramps, indigestion, diarrhea, wheezing, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing, repetitive cough, tightness in throat and hoarse voice, weak pulse, pale or blue coloring of the skin, hives, swelling that affects the tongue and/or lips, dizziness, and confusion. A sesame allergy, one of the nine major food allergens that must be declared on food labels in the U.S., presents similar symptoms, per the ACAAI.
Throw away the recalled salad kit immediately if you have an allergy or sensitivity to soy or sesame. Consumers may also return the product to the place of purchase for a refund.
