It’s the most wonderful time of the year, as they say. 

The holidays are approaching quickly, with Christmas just over a month away. If you have Christmas presents to send to your friends and loved ones, make sure you send them in time. Many of the mailing and shipping deadlines are coming up in a few short weeks.

Whether you are shipping from Fort Myers or Cape Coral, get those gifts packed and in the mail soon.

Here’s a list of 2025 holiday mailing and shipping deadlines from USPS, FedEx and UPS.

US Post Office mailing deadlines for Christmas 2025

How soon you need to mail your Christmas packages and letters largely depends on where you’re sending it and which USPS service you choose.

Here are theUSPS send-by dates for the contiguous U.S., if you want your package to arrive before Dec. 25:

  • USPS Ground Advantage Service, Dec. 17
  • First-Class Mail Service, Dec. 17
  • Priority Mail Service, Dec. 18
  • Priority Mail Express Service, Dec. 20

Here are the send-by dates for Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. territories:

The date already passed to send military-bound mail through the USPS Ground Advantage Service, on Nov. 4, but there’s still time for First-Class, Priority and Priority Express Services if you’re sending Christmas presents to a loved one in the military. The USPS website has a list of send-by dates for military-bound holiday packages.

FedEx holiday shipping deadlines 2025

If you choose to send your Christmas packages a little later in December, FedEx’s send-by dates fall later than USPS send-by dates, depending on where your package is going.

Here are FedEx’s 2025 send-by dates for U.S. domestic packages, if you want your package to arrive by Dec. 24:

  • FedEx SameDay: Dec. 24
  • FedEx First Overnight, Priority Overnight, Standard Overnight and Extra Hours: Dec. 23
