The West Highlands Street roadway closure has been extended until Wednesday, Dec. 24.
A section of the east and west bound lanes on West Highlands Street in front of the City of Lakeland’s Southwest Complex entrance (1444 W. Highlands St., Lakeland, FL) between Kings Manor Trail Court and Beech Avenue will remain closed until utility pipe replacements/utility replacement work is completed. The roadway west of the closure between Southern Avenue and Kings Manor Trail Court and east of the closure between Beech Avenue and Pinewood Avenue will remain closed to through traffic.
The roadway is expected to reopen at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 24.
Residents are asked to plan alternative routes as needed.
