A Central Florida woman was recently arrested for speeding at 113 MPH on a motorcycle on I-4.
A Polk County Sheriff’s Office deputy was recently conducting traffic enforcement on I-4 near Polk City. At approximately 10:40 p.m., the deputy observed a black BMW motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed, weaving dangerously through traffic.
According to law enforcement, the deputy’s radar measured the bike’s speed at 113 MPH, in a 70 MPH zone.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the deputy made contact with the motorcycle operator, 41-year-old Odalys Darelis Roman, of Orlando.
Roman said that she was on her way home and was attempting to pass the vehicles to avoid a collision. She requested that the deputy only issue a warning.
Odalys Roman was arrested and taken to the Sheriff’s Processing Center and charged with Reckless Driving and Dangerous Excessive Speeding.
Her motorcycle was towed from the scene, according to PCSO.
