According to Boca Raton police affidavits, the couple was caught in a six-month “ticket switching” scheme at a Publix supermarket.

- The Loss: Between August 2025 and March 2026, the pair reportedly failed to pay for 392 items across 52 different transactions, totaling a loss of $5,302.17 for Publix.
- The Items: The “survival” haul included luxury items such as La Marca Prosecco, San Pellegrino sparkling water, and Maison Perrier, alongside household staples like potatoes, eggs, and toilet paper.
