NHC has updated their outlook for the potential system off the coast of the Carolinas next week & the chance of development remains at 20%.

As discussed earlier, the models show the potential of weak low-pressure development along an old front boundary off the U.S. East Coast. This low is likely to remain weak.

Where it goes will greatly depend on where it forms. If the low forms farther south along the front, it has a better chance of drifting west back toward the coast. If, however, the low pressure develops farther north, then a movement east & away from the U.S. east coast is more likely.

Either way, it’s likely the system would remain weak or even fizzle out after a couple of days.

Plenty of time to watch this & nothing to worry about right now.
