The 81 Million Dollar Coronation: How the GOP Donor Class Bought Byron Donalds and Billed It to the American Middle Class

Yass, Uihlein, Wiles, Power, Helmich, Erika, and the sheriff prison cartel built a closed loop that extracts from the American middle and launders it through a MAGA puppet.

By Steve Edward Farley

Eighty-one million dollars.

That number sits on Byron Donalds’ campaign report, and it did not land there by accident. It did not come from bake sales in Naples, teachers in Tallahassee, roofers in Riverview, or nurses in Pensacola. It came from a list of names you can fit on a cocktail napkin, and every one of those names has a contract, a license, a monopoly, a tax break, a prison bed, a sports book, a sugar field, or a school voucher pending in front of the next Governor of Florida.

That is not democracy. That is a coronation. The people running it, Susie Wiles in Washington, Evan Power and Bill Helmich in Tallahassee, Larry Wilcoxson at his elbow, Erika Donalds at the bank, are working the same grift on Florida the GOP donor class has worked for twenty years. They finally found a MAGA candidate dumb enough to put his name on every check.

Byron Donalds is a MAGA candidate. He is a GOP shill. He is not an America First Nationalist. He has never been one. A real nationalist does not take 7.5 million dollars from the largest single shareholder of a Chinese app (Miami New Times, 2026a). A real nationalist does not let his wife skim 35 million dollars off a school voucher program built to enrich a billionaire class (Florida Bulldog, 2025). A real nationalist does not run interference for a private prison company that booked an 800 percent jump in net income off the backs of working class American kids (American Prospect, 2026).

The people who do that are the GOP donor class and the MAGA brand managers who launder for them. They wrap themselves in the same flag we carry, then sell it back to us at a markup.

This piece names the names. All of them. With dollar amounts, with dates, with the receipts already on file at the Federal Election Commission and the Florida Division of Elections. Then it does what the consultant class hates: connects them. When you finish reading you will know exactly who owns Byron Donalds, exactly what they bought, and exactly which part of your life they are going to bill it to.

The poor are not paying for this. They have already been squeezed dry. The people paying are the American middle. The small business owners. The roofers. The nurses. The cops who walk a beat. The veterans. The truckers. The franchise owners. The young couple with a mortgage in Lehigh Acres. The retiree in The Villages skipping milk because eggs cost six dollars. You are the mark, and the GOP donor class is the house.

I. The Coronation Was Pre Sold in March

The Donalds campaign was endorsed by the Club for Growth on March 11, 2025, before a single town hall, before a single debate, before a single Floridian was asked (Club for Growth, 2025). That is the moment this race ended, if you let it end there.

The Club for Growth is not a grassroots conservative organization. It is two men. Jeff Yass put 29.5 million dollars into Club for Growth Action in the last cycle. Richard Uihlein put in another 17 to 22 million. Tom Klingenstein, the Claremont Institute chairman, added 5.75 million. Peter Thiel kicked in 1.5 million in February 2026 (OpenSecrets, 2024a; Bloomberg, 2026).

Sixty six million out of 77.6 million from four men. Four. There is your “Club.” There is your “Growth.” There is your “endorsement.”

The same four men then write checks directly to Donalds on top of it. Yass himself, 7.5 million (Miami New Times, 2026a). Uihlein, 2 million (News4Jax, 2025). Club for Growth Action itself, 3.65 million. Same money. Same men. Two pockets, one suit.

Jeff Yass owns 7 percent of ByteDance, the Chinese company that owns TikTok. That stake is worth 21 billion dollars (NBC News, 2024). Donald Trump wanted to ban TikTok. Then he met Yass at The Breakers in Palm Beach. Then he reversed his position (Business Insider, 2024). In January 2026 a Yass affiliate called Vastmere Strategic Investments slid onto the board of the new TikTok U.S. consortium (Technical.ly, 2026). The so called America First candidate, bankrolled by the largest single shareholder of the Chinese app on your daughter’s phone. A movement that took American sovereignty seriously would not tolerate it for ten seconds. The MAGA brand managers tolerate it because the check cleared.

Richard Uihlein owns Uline, the warehouse supplies company. He has dumped a quarter of a billion dollars into Republican politics since 2016 (OpenSecrets, n.d.a). Ninety two percent of his direct candidate giving went to members of Congress who questioned Biden’s 2020 victory (BillionairesCrimes, n.d.a). Uline brought Mexican workers into Wisconsin, Florida, and Pennsylvania warehouses on B 1 training visas, visas that forbid work, and paid them Mexican wages while Uihlein wrote the checks for every “build the wall” mailer in your inbox (Daily Beast, 2026). That is the America First candidate, fronted by the man caught sneaking the labor in the back door. America First Nationalists believe in American wages for American workers. Richard Uihlein believes in his margin.

Yass plus Uihlein plus Thiel plus Klingenstein equals the entire Republican primary in Florida before the ballots were printed. Your vote was cashed before you cast it. They have not told you yet.

II. Erika Donalds and the 35 Million Dollar Charter Heist

The family business.

Erika Donalds, Byron’s wife, runs an empire of nested LLCs and nonprofits that has drained at least eight figures from Florida taxpayers and out of state billionaire voucher money. We know any of it only because Florida Bulldog and a handful of independent reporters refuse to drop it.

The structure.

The Optima Foundation, rebranded the Education Freedom Foundation, is the nonprofit shell. Underneath sit OptimaEd, Optima Management Services, and a holding company called Onesto LLC. The Foundation collects the public money, the 8,000 dollar per child voucher checks from Florida’s universal eligibility program, and routes management fees, brand licensing fees, and “consulting” fees to the for profit entities Erika controls (Florida Bulldog, 2025).

Florida Bulldog documented over 10 million dollars in payments running through this maze in disclosed filings alone. Sources inside the Hillsdale affiliated charter network put the real number, once you fold in bond financing fees, real estate flips, and management contracts that never reach a 990, at closer to 35 million dollars. Thirty five million dollars siphoned from a public school funding stream into a family controlled LLC.

The wife of the man buying the governor’s mansion has pocketed between 10 and 35 million dollars from the dismantling of Florida’s public schools. The man who will set the next four years of Florida education policy, who picks the next Education Commissioner, the next State Board of Education, the next charter school approval process, is married to the contractor.

That is not a conflict of interest. A conflict of interest is when you have to recuse yourself. This is a vertically integrated extraction operation. The husband votes the program into existence in Washington. The state of Florida funds it. The wife bills it.

Who funds the wife? The same names funding the husband.

Jeff Yass is the largest single funder of the school voucher movement in this country. 41.7 million dollars lifetime into Students First PAC. 10 million to School Freedom Fund in 2024. 5 million to it in 2021. 5.2 million to the American Federation for Children Victory Fund in 2024 (Sludge, 2025; Philadelphia Magazine, 2024). That money builds the political pressure to pass universal vouchers. The vouchers open the revenue stream. Erika collects it. Byron protects it.

That is not “school choice.” That is a closed loop money laundry: billionaires pay politicians to convert your school tax dollars into private management fees that flow back into the politicians’ household. The American Nationalist position on education is straightforward: a strong public school in every American town, funded by American taxpayers, teaching American children to read, build, and defend. The MAGA position is whatever Jeff Yass paid for last quarter. Today Jeff Yass is paying to dismantle your kid’s middle school so Erika Donalds can collect a management fee.

“They sold your children’s future and called it school choice” is not a metaphor. It is a sales receipt.

III. The STOCK Act, Byron’s Trading Desk, and the Net Worth That Cannot Be Explained

In 2021, Byron Donalds’ financial disclosure showed a net worth between 69,000 dollars and 985,000 dollars. By 2025, four years into a 174,000 dollar congressional salary, that number had ballooned to between 1.6 million and 7 million. Quiver Quantitative, which tracks every congressional stock trade against market timing, pegs his disclosed trading book at 4.63 million dollars and climbing.

The STOCK Act exists for one reason. Members of Congress see things you do not. They get briefed in classified hearings. They sit in closed door industry presentations. They learn, before the press learns, when an agency is about to issue a rule, ban a product, approve a merger, deploy troops, or sanction a country. The law says if you trade on that information, you disclose it within 45 days. Not because disclosure stops anything. Because if the public can see it, the public can decide.

Byron Donalds has been late, missing, or non compliant on 200 trades worth up to 2.8 million dollars in his own name, with another 1.6 million in trades reported under his household account (People Vs Byron Donalds, n.d.). Two hundred trades. One member. One household.

That is not “I forgot.” That is not “my staff made a mistake.” That is a pattern. The fine for STOCK Act violations is 200 dollars per disclosure. A 200 dollar fine on a 2.8 million dollar book is not enforcement. It is a tip.

Byron Donalds sits on the House Financial Services Committee. He has voted on bills affecting cryptocurrency exchanges, regional banks, capital requirements, SEC enforcement, and the same private prison stocks paying his super PAC. He has the briefing. He has the calendar. He has the access. He is trading.

When a middle class Floridian with a 401(k) buys 100 shares of GEO Group, he is buying a stock. When a member of Congress taking 1.5 million dollars from GEO Group buys GEO Group, he is running a business (Miami New Times, 2026a). That business runs on the gap between what the public is allowed to know and what he is allowed to know. The gap is your retirement account. He took it.

This indictment alone should end the campaign in any country that still respects the line between public office and private enrichment. In MAGA Florida in 2026, it is barely a footnote, because Susie Wiles, Evan Power, and Bill Helmich have made sure no Republican primary opponent will say it out loud.

IV. Susie Wiles, James Blair, and the Washington Shell Game

Susie Wiles is the most powerful unelected person in America. White House Chief of Staff. Senior advisor at Mercury Public Affairs. Partner at the September Group. Benefactor of Silver Bullet Strategies. Architect of the new Stafford Jones consulting machine drawing paychecks from the Trump White House, the Republican National Committee, and at least three Florida statewide candidates including Byron Donalds.

The shell game. The same operators draw paychecks from the campaign, the party, the PAC, and the administration, all out of the same donor pool, and no one outside the consultant class can tell you which check paid for which deliverable. A laundromat washing everyone’s money at once.

James Blair, who runs political operations inside the Trump White House out of Susie’s office, sat in the Florida governor coronation conversations as early as summer 2025. The September Group, Wiles’ soft launch consulting shop, sits on payroll across three of the Donalds aligned super PAC structures. Silver Bullet Strategies draws “compliance” fees out of Friends of Byron Donalds. Stafford Jones, the Gainesville operator who has billed dozens of Florida races, is the connective tissue moving money between the federal accounts, the state accounts, and the (c)(4) accounts that never disclose anything.

This is not a campaign. It is a money routing service that takes a 15 percent fee at every hop.

The point of the shell game: when Yass writes the 7.5 million dollar check, by the time it reaches the consultant payroll no one can tell you which fraction paid for a TV ad, which fraction paid for “polling,” and which fraction paid Susie Wiles’ people for the privilege of getting Donalds on the President’s calendar. That is the trick. That is the only trick. Running in real time against the Florida primary electorate, while the consultant class congratulates itself on its “discipline.”

Nothing disciplined about it. It is a fix. The American citizenry does not run fixes. The GOP donor class does, and the MAGA brand managers staff them.

V. Evan Power, the Drunk Lobbyist Running the State Party Into the Ground

Evan Power chairs the Republican Party of Florida. By any honest accounting, he is one of the most compromised people ever to hold that job.

After a 2025 single vehicle car crash, Power was found with a loaded pistol and silver bars sitting in the console beside him. Silver bars. Not silver coins. Bars. Ask yourself what a state party chairman is doing driving around Tallahassee with bullion in his passenger seat. Ask yourself what his world looks like for that to be a routine Tuesday.

This is the man running the rules and bylaws process for the 2026 Florida gubernatorial primary. The man who decides which counties get convention delegates, which candidates touch the party voter file, which campaigns get which staff, and which Republican voters are allowed to be heard. The man who, by every reliable account from inside the State Executive Committee, has worked the phones with Susie Wiles’ people for months to keep the Donalds coronation safe from the inconvenient appearance of a contested primary.

Power is not a Republican in any nationalist sense. He is a vendor. Under his chairmanship the Republican Party of Florida is a service bureau for whoever Susie Wiles tells him to clear the runway for. The donors get a candidate. The candidate gets a clean ballot. The chairman gets a consulting contract, a lobbying client, the next “compliance” retainer. We will find out. We always find out. It takes two years longer than it should.

Meanwhile the Republican primary voters of this state, the people who believe in something, the people who show up, get treated as a formality. Their state party chairman thinks his job is to deliver them, pre counted, to the donor class that bought him. That is what the GOP has become. That is the reason the American voter owes the GOP nothing, not a single vote, until the GOP is purged of men like Evan Power.

That is not a primary. That is a fix.

VI. Bill Helmich, the Traitor

Bill Helmich.

Helmich, more than any other single operator, was supposed to stand as the firewall between Florida’s grassroots conservative movement and the Wiles, Power consultant cartel. Helmich knew where the bodies were buried. When Tallahassee tried something corrupt, Helmich was the guy supposed to walk into the parking lot and tell the press.

Helmich rolled over.

He sold the password to the alarm system. He took the meeting. He took the retainer. He pretended not to see the wire transfers from Hope Florida to Secure Florida’s Future to Keep Florida Clean to RPOF, while sitting in the building the day the transfers cleared. He told the donor class he could deliver the grassroots. He told the grassroots he stood with them. He cannot be both. He is neither.

Movements do not get sold out by their enemies. They get sold out by the guy supposed to guard the door. Every American patriot should memorize that lesson, because the next Bill Helmich is already on payroll.

Next time you see Bill Helmich on a panel telling you Florida is “still a conservative state,” remember he draws a paycheck from the same machine he spent twenty years pretending to fight. The pay stub is the only honest thing about him.

VII. The Sheriffs Get a Cut of the Prison

The ugliest part. The part cable shows will never run. The part that, in a healthier country, would be the only story.

Thirty six Florida sheriffs have endorsed Byron Donalds for governor. Grady Judd in Polk. Wayne Ivey in Brevard. Chad Chronister in Hillsborough. Rosie Cordero Stutz in Miami Dade. Chris Nocco in Pasco. T. K. Waters in Duval. Bob Gualtieri in Pinellas. The whole “law and order” choir, on key (Newsmax, 2025).

The sheriffs do not endorse because they like Byron Donalds. They endorse because they profit from the prison industrial complex that Byron Donalds’ largest corporate donor controls.

GEO Group, headquartered in Boca Raton, Florida, paid 1.5 million dollars to Friends of Byron Donalds in 2025 and 2026 (Miami New Times, 2026a). Not a thank you. A down payment.

In July 2026, GEO Group won a 130 million dollar per year contract with the Florida Department of Corrections to operate three state prisons, Bay, Graceville, and Moore Haven. GEO’s fiscal year 2025 net income jumped to 254.3 million dollars, an 800 percent increase from the prior year’s 31.9 million (American Prospect, 2026). First quarter 2026 revenue: 2.6 billion (Democracy News, 2026). GEO chairman George Zoley pulled 15 million dollars in 2025 compensation.

Follow the dots.

Mandatory minimum sentencing, the policy Byron Donalds has championed his entire political career, the policy every endorsing sheriff in this state has stood behind a podium and demanded, is not a public safety policy. It is a revenue model. Mandatory minimums keep the beds full. Full beds keep the per diem payments flowing. Per diem payments are why GEO’s net income jumped 800 percent in one year. The 800 percent jump is why the company can write 1.5 million dollar checks to the next governor.

What does the next governor do with that 1.5 million? He signs the next 130 million dollar prison contract. He vetoes the next sentencing reform bill. He appoints the next Secretary of Corrections off GEO’s recommended list. He steers federal ICE bed contracts into Florida facilities. He keeps the beds full so the per diem keeps flowing so the campaign check keeps clearing.

A closed loop. It opens at one end, the end where the cell door shuts on the kid from your neighborhood.

The sheriffs sit inside the loop because mandatory minimums also funnel federal pass through dollars, asset forfeiture revenue, and state grants straight into their own department budgets. Bigger prison population, bigger headcount. Bigger headcount, bigger overtime line. Bigger overtime line, more political support the sheriff can deliver. More political support, more PAC money he draws from the same vendors. G4S, formerly Wackenhut, now Allied Universal, wrote checks into Bob Gualtieri’s campaign while G4S held active Pinellas County contracts (Tampa Bay Times, 2022). RedSpeed dropped 10,000 dollars into Chad Chronister’s PAC weeks after winning his school speed camera contract (Creative Loafing Tampa, 2026). Carmine Marceno’s federally investigated money laundering PAC kicked 50,000 dollars to Chronister (WUSF, 2024). Daniel Newlin and Saul Fox wrote 100,000 dollars each into Rosie Cordero Stutz’s Miami Dade race (Florida Politics, 2024). Every dollar of it is the prison industrial complex paying the law enforcement that fills its beds.

Mandatory minimums are private prison recycled income. The sheriffs endorse because they work inside the recycling plant.

It gets worse. The same system manufactures the inmates it later imprisons.

A kid from a public school that lost its arts program, its counselors, its after school tutoring, because the voucher dollars got pulled out and routed to Erika Donalds’ charter LLC, leaves at eighteen with no diploma he can use and no trade. He gets picked up on a 40 dollar weed charge that, under mandatory minimum sentencing, lands him a three year stretch in a GEO Group facility where he learns nothing, earns nothing, and emerges twenty one years old, unemployable, and angry. Four years later he is back inside on a felony enhancement. Four years after that, the same. The American justice system has built a four to five year revolving door, and it is the most profitable door in the country if you happen to own it.

The “super predator” assembly line. Manufactured by the school funding heist on one end. Harvested by the mandatory minimum apparatus on the other. Monetized by GEO Group in the middle. Endorsed at every step by the sheriffs whose budgets depend on head count. Politically protected by Byron Donalds, whose campaign account is fed at both ends, by Erika’s 35 million dollar school side grift and by GEO Group’s 1.5 million dollar prison side check.

The same family is on both sides of the cash register.

Every American neighborhood in Florida is the next supply line. The havoc this system produces, the kicked in doors, the carjackings, the home invasions, the addiction crisis, the absent father generation, are not bugs. They are the product. The system needs them. Without them the beds empty. Without the beds, GEO Group’s stock collapses. Without GEO Group’s stock, Byron Donalds has no campaign account.

Next time a sheriff stands behind a podium and tells you he is endorsing Byron Donalds because Byron is “tough on crime,” understand what he is saying. He is saying: I get a cut. I get a cut of the federal pass through. I get a cut of the asset forfeiture pot. I get a cut of the contracting kickback. I get a cut of the prison per diem that keeps my deputies on overtime. I keep my cut only if Byron Donalds wins, because Byron Donalds is the candidate the prison industry already bought.

Not law and order. Organized.

VIII. Hope Florida, the Centene Money Laundry, and Mark Wilson’s Endorsement

On June 23, 2026, the Florida Chamber of Commerce, under President and CEO Mark Wilson, held a Tampa press conference and endorsed Byron Donalds for Governor.

Mark Wilson is under criminal investigation.

In October 2025, a grand jury in Florida’s Second Judicial Circuit, convened by State Attorney Jack Campbell, began hearing evidence of what the filing describes as a conspiracy to commit money laundering and wire fraud (WLRN, 2025). The presentment exists. It sits under seal. Wilson was scheduled to testify before the Florida Legislature and backed out at the last minute (WGCU, 2025).

The chain the grand jury is examining works like this. Florida settles a 67 million dollar Medicaid lawsuit with Centene Corporation. Under the settlement, Centene wires 10 million dollars to Hope Florida Foundation, Casey DeSantis’s pet “charity” (Castor and Soto, 2025). Within nineteen days, Hope Florida wires 5 million dollars to Secure Florida’s Future, the Chamber’s dark money (c)(4), chaired by Mark Wilson (Politico, 2025). The next day, Secure Florida’s Future sends 4.85 million dollars to Keep Florida Clean PAC, the political committee actively spending against marijuana legalization. Keep Florida Clean then forwards 10.5 million dollars to the Republican Party of Florida and 1.1 million dollars to Florida Freedom Fund, DeSantis’s personal political vehicle (Chronicle Telegram, 2025).

Medicaid dollars meant to settle a lawsuit over fraud against Florida’s poorest patients got laundered through a fake charity, through a corporate dark money front, into a partisan political committee, and out the back door to the state Republican Party. Every dollar of it bypassed disclosure, bypassed contribution limits, and was engineered to be untraceable.

The man chairing the entity at the center of that chain, Mark Wilson, is the same man who, eight months later, held the press conference endorsing Byron Donalds.

Not a coincidence. A tell.

The Chamber endorsement is not about pro business policy. The Chamber endorsement is a criminal grand jury subject locking in the next Governor of Florida as the candidate his donor class controls. The next Governor appoints the next State Attorney rotation, signs or vetoes any reform to (c)(4) disclosure law, picks the next Department of Children and Families leadership, and decides whether the Hope Florida money, the subject of sealed grand jury proceedings, ever has to be returned.

If Donalds wins, the Hope Florida investigation dies. Quietly. Within six months. Bet on it.

IX. Leading the Future, the AI Money Cannon, and the Shell LLC Trick

Your child cannot tell what is real on the internet. Every political ad in Florida looks AI generated. The air on YouTube has thickened with deep fakes. The reason: a 100 million dollar plus AI super PAC that picked Byron Donalds as its first state level investment.

Leading the Future was incorporated on August 15, 2025 with one explicit purpose: kill any state level AI regulation in America before it passes. The vehicle was funded by Marc Andreessen (25 million dollars), Ben Horowitz (25 million dollars), OpenAI president Greg Brockman and his wife Anna (25 million combined), Joe Lonsdale of Palantir, and a handful of Silicon Valley names including Perplexity AI itself (NBC News, 2026; NOTUS, 2026).

The vehicle then wired 3 million dollars to a Florida satellite called American Mission Florida, chaired by Sarasota County Property Appraiser Bill Furst, whose initial address of record was a Staples store in Tallahassee (WUSF, 2026). American Mission Florida spent 2 million on pro Donalds television.

In May 2026, the Campaign Legal Center filed a formal complaint with the Federal Election Commission. The complaint alleges that 94.4 percent and 96.8 percent of disbursements from American Mission and its Democratic sister vehicle Think Big were routed through two newly formed shell LLCs, Summit Ridge Media Group LLC and Lantern Production Consultants LLC, both formed October 30, 2025, both with no other clients, both built to launder super PAC money into untraceable consulting payments (Campaign Legal Center, 2026). Donalds’ Florida operation is named in the complaint.

This is what a hundred billion dollar industry buying a state government looks like in 2026. A property appraiser. A Staples store. Two shell LLCs formed the same day with the same lawyer. 100 million dollars in Silicon Valley capital. A congressman from Naples in a suit that does not fit, telling you he is “America First.” He is not. He is for sale.

The AI industry does not want America First. It wants pre emption. One weak federal rule so no state, not Texas, not California, and least of all Florida, can pass a meaningful consumer protection law on synthetic media, deep fakes, child exploitation generation, or workforce displacement. They want Florida governed by the man who will veto any state AI bill that lands on his desk, because the man who vetoes that bill is the man whose television advertising they already paid for.

X. The Monopoly Cartel: Seminole, NextEra, Sugar, Wynn

One cluster of donors explains everything about Florida.

The Seminole Tribe of Florida, 3 million dollars to Friends of Byron Donalds (Florida Politics, 2025). The Tribe holds a 30 year monopoly on sports betting in this state through Hard Rock Bet, courtesy of the 2021 gaming compact (Miami Herald, 2021). Every check the Tribe writes a Florida politician is rent on that monopoly. They wrote 2 million directly to Friends of Ron DeSantis in 2022. They wrote 3 million to the Republican Governors Association as DeSantis’s largest single source. Now they are writing checks to Donalds, ahead of any challenger, because the monopoly only renews if the next governor lets it renew.

NextEra Energy and FPL, 1 million dollars to Donalds, including 500,000 in Q4 2025 (News4Jax, 2026). Plus another 1 million into the Florida Chamber that just endorsed him (Garcia, n.d.). FPL is the regulated monopoly utility that, in the same 2026 legislative session as the 500,000 dollar check, killed a bill that would have lowered Florida electricity bills (CLEO Institute, 2026). Your power bill is going up. The reason your power bill is going up sits in Byron Donalds’ campaign account. FPL was previously caught using CEO Eric Silagy’s pseudonym “Theodore Hayes” to route 14 million dollars to ghost candidates through a vendor called Matrix LLC (Mother Jones, 2024). That scandal sent former state senator Frank Artiles to prison on three felonies in September 2024. It did not get FPL prosecuted. Now FPL is writing six figure checks to the next governor.

US Sugar, 1 million dollars through the Florida Chamber, 300,000 dollars to AIF PAC, on top of 33.3 million dollars in state political giving since 1994 (Tampa Bay Times, 2022a). Florida Crystals, the Fanjul family, 600,000 dollars to the Florida Chamber, 1 million dollars to MAGA Inc. (Forbes, 2025). The sugar barons get 65 million dollars per year in subsidy equivalent benefits from the U.S. sugar program, a program your grocery bill funds every time you buy a loaf of bread. Trump lifted a federal forced labor import ban on Fanjul’s Dominican Central Romana operation in March 2025, eight months after Fanjul’s 1 million dollar MAGA Inc. check. Same dollars, same operation. A serious American republic does not subsidize foreign forced labor cane sugar so an oligarch family can buy another yacht. The MAGA brand managers do, because the check cleared.

Steve Wynn, 1 million dollars (Miami Herald, 2026). Wynn resigned from Wynn Resorts in January 2018 after the Wall Street Journal documented decades of alleged sexual misconduct (PBS NewsHour, 2018). The Justice Department sued him under FARA, alleging he lobbied Trump on behalf of the Chinese Vice Minister of Public Security in 2017 to expel a dissident, in exchange for protecting his Macau gaming interests (CNN, 2022). Now he is writing a million dollar check to a candidate in a state where casino gaming expansion sits on the next governor’s desk.

Gaming. Power. Sugar. Casinos. Prisons. Charter schools. TikTok. AI. Crypto. Every one of those industries either holds a Florida monopoly, wants one, or sits on a federal regulatory loophole that depends on the governor of Florida saying nothing.

Byron Donalds will say nothing.

That is what they paid for.

XI. The American Middle Is the Mark

Who pays. Who does not.

Not the poor. The poor are already inside the GEO Group facility. The poor already lost the public school. The poor are on the canceled Medicaid contract that Centene walked away from with 67 million dollars. Squeezed dry. Nothing left to take.

This system runs on you. The American middle. The working citizenry that built this country.

You, the small business owner in Cape Coral whose commercial electricity bill went up 14 percent in three years because FPL killed the rate relief bill the same quarter NextEra wrote Byron a 500,000 dollar check (CLEO Institute, 2026).

You, the home owner in Lakeland whose property insurance tripled because the Republican controlled legislature gutted the homeowner claim statute at the request of the same insurance lobbyists who route checks through the Florida Chamber that just endorsed Donalds.

You, the parent of the kid in the Naples public middle school that lost its arts program because the voucher dollars are now flowing to Erika Donalds’ charter holding company.

You, the 35 year old engineer with a 401(k) full of GEO Group, NextEra, and Centene stock, who pays full freight on every trade, sitting next to a congressman trading the same stocks on inside knowledge and paying a 200 dollar fine for not disclosing.

You, the retiree in The Villages whose grocery bill is loaded down with the 65 million dollar a year sugar subsidy that subsidizes the Fanjul family yacht, while you skip the milk because eggs are already 6 dollars.

You, the small town sheriff’s deputy in Hardee County whose pension is being eroded by your own union’s PAC dollars getting funneled into the same Republican Party of Florida that backed the legislation gutting your benefits.

You, the Naples small contractor whose ABC of Florida dues are being funneled to a candidate whose other corporate donors will run you out of the bidding for the next state contract because they own the relationship he has with the next Department of Management Services secretary.

You, the active duty soldier reading this on a base in Jacksonville and wondering why every MAGA candidate in this state is funded by the largest single shareholder of the Chinese app on your daughter’s phone.

You, the cop, the firefighter, the EMT, the nurse, the teacher, the welder, the long haul driver, the air conditioning installer, the property manager, the franchise restaurant owner, the lawyer with two kids and a mortgage. You are the mark. You are the cash flow this entire 81 million dollar campaign is extracting from. You are the reason the donor class can afford to pay Susie Wiles’ consulting fees, Evan Power’s protective services, Bill Helmich’s silence, Erika Donalds’ charter management bonuses, and Larry Wilcoxson’s 419,000 dollars in undisclosed campaign “services” (OpenSecrets, n.d.b).

They do not say it out loud. They do not have to. The math says it for them. 81 million dollars is the price tag on the next four years of Florida governance, and not one penny of it was put up by anyone who has to live with the consequences.

This is the line between America First Nationalism and the MAGA, GOP shill machine. America First Nationalism builds for the American Nation, the American family, the American worker, the American future. MAGA is a brand the GOP donor class staples to a candidate so they can keep running the same extraction operation under a new flag. Byron Donalds is the brand. The GOP donor class is the operation. You are the inventory.

XII. The Closing Argument

The story is simple.

Two billionaires, Jeff Yass and Richard Uihlein, put 13 million dollars into Donalds so the next governor of Florida privatizes the public schools, routes voucher dollars into Erika Donalds’ management LLC, kills any AI consumer protection bill that lands on his desk, and shields Yass’s ByteDance position from any state level Chinese app legislation.

The Florida monopoly cartel, Seminole gaming, NextEra power, US Sugar, Florida Crystals, GEO Group prisons, added 10 million more to keep their state guaranteed market positions untouched for another four years. Your electricity, your insurance, your grocery, your child’s safety pays the tab.

The Silicon Valley AI consortium, Andreessen, Horowitz, Brockman, Lonsdale, fronted 3 million in Florida ads and stands ready to wire more. They need a governor who signs nothing.

The Florida dark money chain, Mark Wilson’s Florida Chamber, Secure Florida’s Future, Hope Florida, Keep Florida Clean, laundered Medicaid settlement dollars into the Republican Party of Florida that is now clearing the primary runway for Donalds. A grand jury sits on the proof.

The Washington shell game, Susie Wiles, James Blair, the September Group, Silver Bullet Strategies, Stafford Jones, takes a 15 percent cut at every hop and makes sure none of the consulting pay can be traced to any single donor.

The Tallahassee enforcers, Evan Power at RPOF, Bill Helmich as the bought off grassroots fig leaf, run cover at the state party so no Republican primary opponent ever gets a fair shot at the voter file or the convention floor.

The sheriffs, 36 and counting, validate the law and order brand in exchange for the kickback economy: mandatory minimums, asset forfeiture, federal pass through, and the per diem revenue that GEO Group, RedSpeed, G4S, and Carmine Marceno’s investigated PAC route back into their own re election accounts.

The Donalds household is the operating company at the center of the diagram. Byron in Washington trading stocks he is not supposed to know about. Erika in Naples bleeding 35 million dollars off the school voucher pipeline. Larry Wilcoxson on the payroll with a record that would disqualify him from any other public facing job in America.

The product they are selling is your state.

The currency they are buying it with is your money: property taxes, sales taxes, electric bills, grocery bills, insurance premiums, the federal taxes that fund the Medicaid and prison contracts, and the 401(k) you cannot trade on inside information.

Cost to them: 81 million dollars.

Return: control of a 130 billion dollar state budget, every state regulatory body, four years of Supreme Court appointments, the next Education Commissioner, the next Department of Corrections leadership, the next Public Service Commission, and the veto pen on every consumer protection bill that might cut into any of the cash flows above.

Return on investment: 100,000 to 1.

That is not small government. That is not America First. That is not conservatism. That is a hostile takeover, run by people who do not live here, financed by people who do not care, executed by people who got bought, sold to you with a flag pin on the lapel.

You can be the constituency that pays for the takeover. Or you can be the citizen movement that names it, refuses it, and outs every single name on the napkin until the donor class understands Florida is not for sale at this price.

You have the names. Yass. Uihlein. Klingenstein. Thiel. Andreessen. Horowitz. Brockman. Lonsdale. Zoley. Wynn. Peterffy. Fanjul. White. Seminole. NextEra. GEO. Centene. Wilson. Wiles. Blair. Power. Helmich. Wilcoxson. Erika Donalds. Byron Donalds.

You have the dollar amounts. 81 million in. 35 million sideways into the wife’s account. 130 million a year to the prison vendor. 4.85 million laundered through the Chamber’s (c)(4). 7.5 million from one TikTok billionaire. 25 million each from two Silicon Valley names you have never voted for.

You have the timeline. March 11, 2025, Club for Growth endorses before the race begins. August 15, 2025, the AI super PAC incorporates. September 27, 2024, the Hope Florida 10 million dollar wire clears. October 16, 2024, the 5 million flips out the back door. February 12, 2026, 5 million dollars in AI money is pledged. June 23, 2026, Mark Wilson, under criminal investigation, hands over the Chamber endorsement.

You have the cost. Your house. Your grandchild’s school. Your son’s freedom. Your daughter’s privacy. Your insurance premium. Your power bill. Your grocery bill. Your retirement account. Your state. Your nation.

Do the only thing left. Tell every American middle class Floridian you know. Tell them by name. Tell them the dollar amount. When the GOP MAGA political class, Susie Wiles, Evan Power, Bill Helmich, Mark Wilson, Larry Wilcoxson, and the rest, tells you “we have always done it this way,” answer: no, we have not, and we will not.

Eighty one million dollars is a lot of money.

It is not enough to buy Florida.

Not if the American Nation knows the names.
