Vehicle 1, a Honda sedan driven by a 41-year-old Davenport man, was traveling southbound on US-17/92. Vehicle 2, a Nissan sedan driven by a 37-year-old Kissimmee man, was traveling northbound on US-17/92. Near West James Street, Vehicle 1 entered the northbound lane and collided nearly head-on with Vehicle 2. Both drivers suffered serious injuries and were transported to area hospitals. Additionally, a 34-year-old Winter Haven man and a 45-year-old Kissimmee woman were traveling in Vehicle 2. Both suffered serious injuries and were also transported to area hospitals. Driver 2 and the woman traveling in Vehicle 2 later expired from injuries suffered during the collision.
