During Vice President JD Vance’s campaign visit to Lakeland, Florida, a group of demonstrators gathered outside the Lakeland International Airport along nearby roads—such as the intersection of Wellman Loop Rd and Medulla Rd—holding signs in opposition to his appearance.
Organized by local grassroots groups like Indivisible Polk, the demonstrators gathered peacefully along the roadside as attendees and the vice presidential motorcade arrived for his campaign event. Inside the rally, Vance addressed audience disruptions directly, calling a demonstrator who was escorted out a “Democrat plant” while crowd members responded with chants.
