There have been some car burglaries recently in Polk City…in the area of Mt. Olive Road and Hwy 33. The most recent one occurred Tuesday morning, July 2nd, between 3:00 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. in the Fountain Park neighborhood.

Now in the video, you’ll only see two suspects, but there were at least three suspects involved. Perhaps one of the bad guys was camera shy (a concept totally unfamiliar to Sheriff Grady Judd).
The two suspects climbed into separate unlocked vehicles. Before we go any further, we need to impress upon all of you just how important it is to lock your cars (even if you don’t keep anything valuable in them).
Obviously, leaving your car unlocked is an easy way to have things stolen. And, it makes you a target of some major scolding from Facebookers in the comments section below (although we ask that our Facebook fans refrain from being unkind to our victims. We’re asking nicely. Pretty please. With artificial sweetener on top).
Back to the bad guys.
The suspect in the car, if nothing else, is thorough. He searched that car like a…well, like a deputy looking for cocaine in a suspect’s car.
What the suspect does next is something that we shall avoid commenting on.
The video also shows a car passing houses that could belong to our suspects, so we’re trying to identity that. We’re even more interested in identifying the suspects, because we’re not going to arrest the car.
