There’s a mail thief in Fort Socrum Village in north Lakeland, and we’re fixin’ to find her.
Here’s what went down…
Just after 9:00 a.m. on May 31st, a female who was walking a dog through the neighborhood was seen opening a mailbox (not hers) and pulling out some mail. She then proceeded to rip open a couple of the envelopes, look inside them, then discarded the mail on the ground.
The good news is, nothing was stolen from this victim. But has this suspect stolen mail elsewhere? We’re looking into it. In the meantime, we need to identify our suspect, and put a stop to her shenanigans.
Most likely, our suspect lives in Fort Socrum Village, or perhaps in Pebblebrooke Estates, maybe Indian Ridge Estates, or some other subdivision.
The point is, please share this video, especially if you know someone in this particular area. Someone out there can surely recognize our suspect, or even the dog walking with her. Although, just so we’re clear, the dog is not a suspect.
