Mr. Ryan Petty – father of 14-year-old Alaina Petty, a Parkland shooting victim – as Petty undergoes the rigorous training to become an honorary Polk County School Guardian.

The actual course has already begun, with the classroom portion (if you’re already following him on Twitter @rpetty, he has been Tweeting about it). If Mr. Petty completes every level of the training, and we are confident that he will, Sheriff Judd will swear him in as an honorary Guardian at a later date.
