Incident Description
At approximately 7:30PM on August 13, 2019 we received a call from a resident at 905 N Golden Rule Court about a sewer backup. When crews arrived they observed an SSO in the vicinity of our sewer line behind that address. Additional crews were called in and the SSO was stopped around 12:30 AM on August 14, 2019. Approximately 2,000 gallons was released onto the ground in the area and then spilled into a drainage ditch. Of the 2,000 gallons released, an estimated 1,000 gallons made it to the ditch and could not be recovered. Samples were taken and the area is being cleaned up and limed. Repairs are ongoing and will be completed on August 15, 2019.
