Type of Notice: Initial Report Date of Notice: 08/30/2019 Incident Information Name of Incident: Village Water WWTP State Watch Office Case Number: 20195032 Start of Incident: 08/30/2019 08:30 Incident is on-going as of: 08/30/2019 12:51 Incident Description USWSC operations manager has reported that due to recent rains and high elevations in the west pond, the interconnect vale between the east and west ponds was opened (to perform a controlled discharge) and maintain the integrity of the pond berm, at approximately 0830 hrs the EDD located on east pond has started discharging to the wooded area further east of the pond. The discharge is ongoing and anticipated to be in excess of 1,000 gallons. The controlled discharge is in anticipation of the approaching storm and rains. Sampling of the treated effluent has begun. The State Warning Point has been notified SWP# 2019-5032.Operator will continue to monitor and report as required.
